Maaike Canne is a Rotterdam based illustrator/artist active in the fields of editorial and commercial illustration, painting and murals. Maaike’s illustrations are often based on fictitious scenes – like gas stations, malls, hotel-lobbies and motels. She finds inspiration from modernist and mid-century architecture, the Bauhaus movement, architects like Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier and Luis Barragan.
