Aistė is a Lithuanian artist, living and working in Berlin. Founded on intricate figurative drawing, the slow nature of her practice challenges today’s fast-paced image consumerism. The pink-hued figures pictured in her work present more as alien characters, rather than everyday humans you’d meet on the street – slightly too perfect, almost artificial, strangely unfamiliar. The viewer may question whether they are seeing something that truly exists or purely works of fiction.
